Museum Location

The museum is located at 803 S. State Street, Lockport, IL

Museum Hours

The I & M Canal Commissioners Office Museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays, 12:00noon until 4:00 P.M.  The museum is closed from Nov 24, re-opening on Nov 29 for Christmas In The Square.  Then the  museum will close again on Nov 29 for the season & re-open on Feb 17, 2009.

You can exit on I-355 at Archer Ave (Rt 171).  and go south to the museum located at 803 S. State Street in Lockport

From Joliet: With the Rt 7 Bridge closed for the summer, use Jefferson Street to Collins Street. Left on Collins Street to the museum location at 803 State Street in Lockport.

159th Street to State St. in Lockport.  Turn right on State St to the museum location at 803 S. State St.

Directions to the museum from the west

With the Rt 7 bridge closed for the summer, use the 135th bridge in Romeoville, to New Ave. Right on New Ave. to State St. Right on State St. to the museum location at 803 State St in Lockport.
